The main issues for this forecast are strong and gusty winds as
a powerful storm system affects the region. Initially, there may
be a relative lull in the strong winds as the initial front
moves through. However, showers associated with this front may
be able to bring strong winds to the surface for the next hour
as they move through the terminals. The relative lull in winds
may linger through mid morning but winds will quickly increase
later this morning out of the west. Winds near 25kts sustained
with gusts of 40kts are possible through the afternoon hours.
Winds. Winds begin to decrease around 00Z as the become
northwesterly. Winds finally begin to relax around 06Z as the
system is pulling away to the east of the area. A period of MVFR
ceilings also looks possible briefly this morning before
becoming VFR for the remainder of the forecast.
